Come celebrate with us in Maine

How we met

Three homes, two dogs, and (nearly) a decade together

A story as old as time: boy swipes right, girl swipes right, they adopt two dogs and live happily ever after. Ten years have flown by with adventures in homeownership, a handful of new jobs, a 1,500-mile move, and hours vacuuming up dog hair. We can't wait to celebrate our love with our friends and family.

WanderwoodWe met Kelsey and Matt, the owners of Wanderwood, in 2025 at their farm-to-table dinners. We immediately loved the environment they created with homegrown food, great company, and a stunning location. When we got engaged in December 2025, we couldn't imagine a better location.Photo source: Katie Arnold Photography on wanderwoodmaine.com
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Domestic travelers should plan on flying into Portland, Maine (PWM). It is a small airport and therefore an awesome airport experience. Direct flights to the Midwest and further can be tough, however. International folks should plan to fly into Boston Logan (BOS). There is train and bus service to Portland, but renting a car is the best option.
We have a request out to a lovely local Inn for a full buyout reservation. They open their books for the next year in October, but we're at the top of their list. We'll have more information on costs and logistics at the end of the year. There are also lots of Airbnbs in the area if you'd prefer that option. The largest (not large) nearby town is Damariscotta.
All of our guests are coming from out of town. We want to ensure we have a warm welcome for weary travelers. Please RSVP to help us understand who will be joining us on Friday evening.
While we'd love to accommodate everyone, at this point, we are only inviting the children of family. Those of you with infants and newborns, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan and support you accordingly.
Our dress code is Maine Garden Party. We (Katie) have made a Pinterest board to help. If the weather cooperates, we plan to have the ceremony and dinner outside. Plan to bring a layer for when the sun goes down. The majority of the site is grass, so stilettos are not advised.
We're planning on having a shuttle running a loop between Wanderwood and the Inn. More details to come. There will be parking onsite if you are not drinking and plan to drive.
While Martin thinks he could make an Ooni pizza for everyone… we want to share the farm-to-table Wanderwood experience with you all. Brent Foster (Husky Boi) will be serving locally sourced produce, meat, and oysters, family style.
We're so excited that we're able to host this celebration at Wanderwood. Kelsey and Matt are great people, and their venue is super special. Learn more about it here: wanderwoodmaine.com
We can't confirm their busy schedules at this time.
Yes, we'll be in Vegas or Nashville for a week a month prior… kidding, we're 40 (ish). If folks arrive on Thursday evening, a boat ride/party would be fun. More on that pending interest.
Since folks will need to catch flights on Sunday, we are not planning a formal event. We may crash the Inn's breakfast to give last hugs :)

We Can't Wait To Celebrate With You!

More information is still to come, but if you already know that you can/can't make it, we'd love to know! We know “destination” weddings are a big investment. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
